Food in Barcelona

Food in Barcelona

Hey what can I say...we're Singaporeans. If we don't talk about food there's something seriously wrong with us...

At most places we went to, there were these stands where they sold roasted chestnut and sweet potatoes or something. Alah like at Bedok Interchange also got :)

And we also had some seafood paella....

And went berserk at this Tapas restaurant where we wanted to eat everything. The portions were so tiny! We had some Brava potatoes here, paella, mushroom fried in garlic, deep fried squid, bread with tomatoes and olive oil (mmm yummy) and chicken (ayam ciutat betul! :))

This was at another place, where Arlin had hmm..Andalucian squid? I can't remember..but it was good...

And I had pizza with chicken and anchovies and roquefort cheese. Good too albeit a little salty

On our last night there, we found a whole row of restaurants near the harbour (macam Boat Quay) and ate at this nice place which had humongous servings! Here I am taking a bite out of bread smeared with olive oil and tomatoes

And to satisfy Arlin's seafood craving, we ordered this huge platter of fresh seafood. This picture doesn't do justice to the real thing cause it was damn huge! I had to eat the langoustine :( and we had a lot of fish and calamari and some kinda whole sotong and tons and tons and tons of prawns. I must have eaten more prawn that night than I have in my entire life combined! And Arlin had a whole mountain of prawn shells when she was done. No more prawns for me, thank you very much :p

And this was the waiter that served us that night. He kept checking on us to see if we could actually eat up everything!

With Arlin on this trip, of course we went into all the supermarkets. And this one's our favourite...

And we bought all kinds of junk! The Turron things were really good though, especially the ones with almonds...mmm..Ma we bought some for you!

And I found this Nutella snack thing which was really cool. It was like hmm what do you call those...that chocolate snack we have at home..not hello panda..the other one..Yan Yan! Yeah it was Nutella Yan Yan but it came with iced tea as well.

P.S. Arlin can you blog about the sights? Malas ah...
