Louisiana Museum of Modern Art
Today all the teachers had an excursion again and we went 'abroad' this time. We were in Elsinore in Denmark to go to the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. And I had a really good time and saw a lot of very interesting art pieces.
First we took the bus to Helsingborg in Sweden. And then we took the ferry from Helsingborg to Helsingör (Elsinore, yes the same Elsinore in Hamlet :)) in Denmark.

And then we took the bus again to get to the museum and here's Hathairat and me all excited.

And the other teachers.

Here's the outside of the museum.

The leaves all gold and pretty.

Sculptures.

And then we sat and had lunch at the museum's cafe which had an open fireplace. Mmm warm and cosy! This was what I ate

Too bad we couldn't take pics inside of the paintings and stuff. There were some really interesting exhibitions. One was of Lucian Freud's works, which involved a lot of naked men and women. Oh he's the grandson of Sigmund Freud by the way.
And then there was an architectural exhibition featuring Cecil Balmond and another exhibition involving Richard Avedon's photography. But my favourite has to be Tal R's more contemporary work cause everything was so colourful and yet he just used to same seven colours in all his paintings. Oh and I saw 2 paintings by Andy Warhol. And there was also a collection of Islamic Miniature Paintings from the David Collection. And that was really interesting too. All the miniature paintings were so packed with detail that it was like reading a story. And there were a few paintings from the 15th or 16th century featuring Prophet Muhammad and his companions. They didn't show the Prophet's face, covering it with white cloth but it was still weird to see. Some of the stuff were really beautiful.

And here's me and a colleague, Janos, who is from Hungary.

Lovies,
Nene
