Oops I was supposed to continue this post a few days ago. But oh well better late than never. So first up I'm gonna blog about the food Arlin and I had together in Holland. We went to the supermarket there and found this cake/pastry thingy called Tompouce and it looked so pink and interesting that Arlin bought it so we could try it. Here's what it looks like:
And it's actually two layers of wafers with lots and lots of whipped cream in between and topped with pink frosting. Here we are trying Dutch Tompouce. Oh turns out there's a Swedish version called Napoleonbakelse. And in French it's called Mille-feuille. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tompouce)
Here's us trying it out. Hmm..wonder if it'll taste nice...
Arlin: Ehh it's a bit too sweet for me. And all this cream, muak!
I thought the Tompouce wafer tasted like Nestum! And I think we were thinking about how Kak Hanies could eat up loads of cream and how she would love this Tompouce thingy.
