Japanese!

Japanese!

I had such a craving for Japanese food since yesterday night that I looked up recipes online and today I made my own doriyaki/tokiwado or whatever they're called...you know those Japanese pancake thingies with filling. Well I used this pan we got from Jonas' parents where you can make 7 mini pancakes all at once and put two and two together with chocolate in some and cheese in the rest (that laughing cow cheese). It turned out really good! The first few were kinda pretty even and tasted almost like the ones I used to buy back home! Yummy!

And for dinner I made Okonomiyaki, these Japanese pancake/pizza thingies with cabbage and other stuff. It's easier to show the pics than explain.

Here's the batter (I mixed cabbage and carrots with flour and eggs) and some chicken frying in a pan.

And this is what it looks like when it's done! I made the sauce myself and then topped it with mayonnaise. The only thing it lacked was the bonito fish flakes.

Close-up of my very own okonomiyaki. Hai!

Hm...have to hunt for takopachi now...:))
